Payouts, Pricing and Policy Changes
We're making three changes to how money moves on Get Blogged. None of them change what you earn on a collaboration — but they do change when payouts run, what our platform fee is, and what happens to balances that are left behind. We want to explain not just the what, but the why — honestly.
Why we're doing this
We run Get Blogged as lean as we possibly can. We're a small team, and almost everything we make goes back into the platform — the campaign matching, verified media kits, escrow-protected payments, and the humans who review every campaign before it reaches you.
This year we made a deliberate bet: we moved brands to a Zero Fee subscription model, because the single biggest thing we can do for creators is put more paid collaborations in front of you. Cheaper campaigns for brands means more campaigns, and more campaigns means more work for the creators on this platform. That bet is the right one — but it shifts how the platform is funded.
At the same time, our costs are moving in one direction. The data and API services that power verified stats, the AI that now helps match, check and review work, and the insurance that protects money moving through the platform — all of it costs meaningfully more than it did a year ago. We've cut what we can from the business first. What's left are some tough decisions we're making for the long-term health of the platform, and we'd rather make them openly than quietly.
We also want to say this plainly: you are independent businesses, and a fee change affects your bottom line. We're genuinely sorry for that. We wouldn't ask if we didn't need to, and everything below is designed to be as fair as we can make it.
Payouts are moving to a weekly Friday run
From 10th July 2026, withdrawals will be paid out every Friday. Request a withdrawal any day of the week and it'll be included in the next Friday run — request it on a Friday and it still goes out the same day.
Two things stay exactly as they are: your very first payout is always instant, whenever you request it — we know how much that first one matters. And your balance is yours the moment a collaboration is approved; the schedule only affects when the transfer leaves us, not when you earn.
Batching payouts into a weekly run makes every transfer predictable — you'll always know exactly when money is coming — and lets us run stronger fraud checks on every run without slowing anyone down.
Our platform fee is changing to 7%
From 10th July 2026, the fee on creator earnings changes from 3% to 7%. We've held 3% for years while everything around it grew, and it no longer covers what it costs to run the platform that finds you the work, protects the payment, and backs you up when a collaboration goes wrong. 7% does — and it still leaves us among the lowest-fee creator marketplaces anywhere.
You'll see the updated fee reflected clearly on every proposal before you submit it — no surprises at withdrawal time.
And if you'd rather keep the rate you've always had: we're about to launch a membership option that locks your fee at 3%, alongside instant payouts and more. More Details.
A fair policy for forgotten balances
Some accounts earn money, then go quiet — for years. From 10th July 2026, if an account has been completely inactive for 12 months while holding a balance, that balance may expire.
We want to be very clear about how gently this works: nothing ever expires silently. From 10 months of inactivity we'll email you reminders, each with a one-click route to sign in and withdraw. Signing in once — just once — resets the clock entirely. This will only ever affect balances whose owners we genuinely could not reach, and if you ever believe funds expired unfairly, our support team will review it in good faith.
If you have a balance sitting on Get Blogged right now: it's yours, it's safe, and withdrawing it takes about a minute from your dashboard.
The short version
- Payouts: weekly, every Friday — first-ever payout always instant.
- Fee: 7% on creator earnings from 10th July 2026, shown clearly before you submit any proposal.
- Dormant balances: only after 12 months of total inactivity and reminder emails — one sign-in resets everything.
We know a post like this is easier to write than to read. If any of it doesn't sit right with you, tell us — reply to any of our emails or contact support. We read everything, and we'll keep being straight with you about how the platform is doing.
